Although I struggled to stick with
my challenge, I did gain a lot of knowledge through the course of the 30-days. One
is that sometimes life gets in the way and you allow yourself to put things to
the back of your mind to worry about later. Between school, homework, and work
I had a hard time finding time to read my Bible. Even when I did read I would
sometimes find myself thinking about the other things I had to get done. I was
often very disappointed in myself and felt I could have done much better in
dividing my time between my daily tasks. That being said this was a challenge I
will try again, until I succeed in gaining a habit of reading my Bible daily.
I am not one that is into blogging,
or posting things, about myself so that was even harder than the challenge for
me. Often I would just sit before my laptop with writer’s block, not even
knowing how to start that first sentence. There were times which once I got
started the words would just flow out of me, surprising me with how simple it
was. I believe that it has helped me to become a better writer, and also helped
me learn to express myself like I never have before. I did add one more blog
post even though the challenge ended back in October. I did so to share what
has happened in my life since the challenge ended, that the manager that was
making my life so miserable at my original job is now under investigation for
his actions against me.
I think doing my digital story was
the best part, though it was still just as difficult as the other two projects.
I wonder how many people have seen my video since I put it on the web and if
the message I so wanted to share had the impact I was hoping for. Overall I
wouldn’t change anything, not my choice in my challenge, nor in my choice to
share my personal story in the digital story. This has been an amazing time and
a wonderful experience I will always remember. May this blog and digital story
touch the lives of those who read or watch.
